A  geotechnical survey is the first step of the preliminary design of any construction project which determines the geological (geology), engineering (soil and rock mechanics), hydrological (groundwater) and environmental (contamination) characteristics of the ground. Following the drilling, the samples collected from the ground are taken to the lab for analysis and the reports (results of the lab tests) are submitted to the customer.
